My Story

Chilove grew up in a single-parent home with her father and four siblings. Life was already difficult, but it turned tragic after her mother gave birth to her youngest sister, Dailove. Severely anemic and struggling to breathe, her mother passed away because the family couldn’t afford medical care.

At just five years old, Chilove had never been to school. She and her siblings lived in a tiny 3x3 meter house, sleeping on scraps of cloth so filthy they caused painful skin infections. The family’s situation was desperate.

​In December 2019, Chilove and her baby sister were brought to ARISE Children’s Village. Now, they live in a safe, clean home where they are loved, cared for, and thriving. Chilove is in school for the first time, and both girls are finally getting the chance to simply be children.
